DREAM TO THE MAX
Dreaming something is the first step to making that thing exist in real life. If you want to accomplish a goal, then you are going to have to come up with one. Once that is accomplished, you can then get started on moving in your goal's direction. The more time you focus on your goal and what it requires, the better your chances of accomplishing it. Eventually, with perseverance, you will likely reach your goal. There is always the possibility that something outside of your control could happen and you may not get to accomplish your goal, but do not make choices based on these what if scenarios. If you dream it, then it is possible. If you believe it, then it is possible.
My Life's Dream
When I was little, my parents would take me to all of the zoos and theme parks around my home in Orlando, Florida. Whether it was seeing the orcas at Seaworld or taking a ride on Kilimanjaro Safaris at Disney's Animal Kingdom, I would experience the wonderful lives of animals, and it was from this early exposure that I became deeply passionate about both wildlife and zoos. Sometime in my early childhood, my passion for zoos and animals developed into a goal that I am still pursuing today. That goal is to build my dream zoo someday. Although easily said in writing, it is perhaps one of the most difficult ideas for a normal person like me to execute. Not only will it cost a horrendous amount of money, but there is also the rigorous education demands, the political opposition to the idea, and many other obstacles that must be overcome. It is very likely that I will never see my dream zoo, let alone kick start its creation, but I want to try, for my dream zoo is definitely something that the world needs.

Pursuing my Dream
While actually creating my dream zoo remains in the distant future, reaching the goal is a never ending task. I have spent my entire life getting ready for this moment in so many different ways. I have studied zoo design and drawn countless zoo maps in a quest to perfect the design. I have worked and volunteered in many different departments within zoos (including animal care) in order to better understand how zoos function. I have read many books on zoos and personal experiences with them. I attended the North Hollywood High School Zoo Magnet, which cooperates with the Los Angeles Zoo to provide high school students with many zoo and animal related opportunities. The list goes on and on. This is the type of drive and direction required for big dreams to come true.
