THINK (BELIEVE) TO THE MAX

Think (Believe): Image

Thinking is the most important talent that we have been given. Not only is it the main tool that we use to overcome the many challenges that this world presents us, but it is also how we deal with the fact that we cannot truly know anything. We can sense things that appear to be happening around us, but we cannot know exactly what is going on. That being the case, the human mind does not naturally accept this reality, so we are compelled to find answers to what we sense happening around us. Whatever the answer might be does not matter. All that matters is that we must have one, even if we cannot verify whether or not it is really the truth. In this process, called theorizing, one takes what he/she senses and processes it along with everything that one has learned before in order to create potential answers so that one can make sense of his or her world. This is what thinking is all about.

How though can someone live by an answer that they cannot verify is the truth? The answer is the power of believing. To truly believe in something is to have so much faith in its validity that it then becomes the truth in one's mind. It is only when we ask ourselves the big life questions, such as what the meaning of life is, that we begin to realize just how important beliefs are in how we choose to live. In general, those with the soundest beliefs are the ones who live the most meaningful and joyful lives. So get out there, experience your surrounds, think about them, create some theories, think about those theories, and then figure out what makes the most sense. Then, you will have the basis for a belief. Keep following these steps and challenging your beliefs to improve them. Live by solid, always-analyzed beliefs, and you are likely to live a meaningful and joyful life.

The Main Roots of My Beliefs

Think (Believe): Text

Much has gone into shaping the person that I am today. However, nothing has shaped my beliefs and way of perceiving the world more than Jesus' teachings. I was introduced to them by my mom and dad when I was just a child. Although they told me the stories of Moses and the Jews before the arrival of Jesus, they emphasized the significance of how the the old covenant was broken due to the sin of the chosen people. In order to fulfill this old covenant and give all who were worthy a second chance, Jesus came to Earth. It was his teachings that, of all those mentioned in the Bible, had the most meaning for me and my life. Everything that I see happening in our world can be explained by Jesus' teachings and they have never failed me. I also have learned how to learn science without letting it crush my faith. Science can give answers, but they are only answers. Science is not the same as truth and thinking so can cloud your ability to think in future situations. My beliefs are those of Jesus with the theories of sciences considered.
